This limited edition Southdown 4ply is a small batch yarn from the Southdown sheep breed, which is a very old heritage breed of English sheep, descending from the Sussex and Kent areas of England.
This yarn is extremely bouncy and elastic, plump and has no halo at all. The handle is pretty soft (although this is relative of course!), and it would be the perfect yarn for tiny scarves, shawls and hats. If you fancied venturing into fingering weight sweater territory it would be good for that too. You could also hold it double for an aran weight gauge.
