This yarn has been spun up especially for WMFC and it’s super special. It is a nylon free, non- superwash UK sourced and spun yarn suitable for socks. It has a higher than usual twist, making it durable yet comfortable on the toes. It would also be suitable for shawls or perhaps even a lightweight sweater! It is a 3-ply construction (three strands twisted together make up the thread), and is therefore more rounded than the Natural Sock.

Super soft and fluffy, this Oeko Tex Standard lace weight yarn picks up natural dyes in a dreamy way. It can be knitted on it’s own for summer garments, or together with just about any yarn to create a thicker ‘strand’- but it would be so perfect held with my Hearth Sock for a Maxine Sweater (a pattern by Laura Penrose).

This BFL/Jacob DK yarn is non-superwash and nylon free. It has magnificent texture, with the sheepy characteristics of the Jacob coming through, while still retaining the drape from the BFL. It would be beautiful knitted into a sweater, hat, shawl or cosy cowl. It is not recommended for socks as it is not spun tightly enough. Check out the Hearth Sock or Natural Sock for sock yarn! It is a 2-fold worsted spun yarn.

This limited edition Dorset & Blue Texel 4ply is a one off hyper-local-to-me yarn- a blend of Dorset (a down breed) and Blue
Texel (lowland type of sheep). This yarn is earthy, peaty in colour and characteristic and has a more rugged handle.
Perfect yarn for sweaters, cardigans,, shawls, mittens, hats….or tiny scarves! It would also work held double for a 14st gauge if you wanted to knit a Dunrobin Sweater for example.
If you want to combine with the Causeway yarn for stranded colourwork, that would also work.
