Twelvetide Preview- Launching 3rd June, 8:00pm GMT+1
I am beyond thrilled to introduce this years countdown calendar - meet Twelvetide. I do recall saying never ever again, but here we are!!
Twelvetide is a 12 day countdown calendar, and it is another name for the twelve days of Christmas, that is the twelve days from Christmas Day to 5th January. After Christmas we can often feel a little flat after all the celebrations are over, so this is something to enjoy during those awkward in between days.
I have based this years calendar on the traditional “12 Days of Christmas” song, as you may notice by the illustration that was created especially for the calendar. Here is how it goes:
On the first day of Christmas

On the second day of Christmas

Two turtle-doves
And a partridge in a pear tree
On the third day of Christmas

Three French hens

The yarn calendar will come in a traditional advent calendar box, complete with opening windows and everything! It will be made of card and cardboard so is recyclable.
The yarn in the calendar will be 50% Natural Sock 20g minis and 50% Hearth Sock 20g minis (120g of each base), and each colour will be inspired by each of the gifts that were sent by the true love in the song. The colours won’t necessarily be a fade, but with natural dyes they usually all look great together- nature has a wonderful palette!
Amongst all the beautiful yarn will be eight progress keepers inspired by the song- these will be created by local polymer clay artist Cast & Clay.

Boxes will be priced at £165 plus postage and will be shipped late October. This is a pre-order but places will be limited to how many I can make!
