Bachlóg Mittens by LB Handknits

Next is the beautiful and useful Bachlóg Mittens by LB Handknits.

Bachlóg
{bach-logue}; Irish: bud or plant growth

This basic mitten pattern combines elements of the classic and the Nordic methods of construction, resulting in an anatomical fit with an articulated thumb. The teardrop gusset was designed to facilitate thumb movement, and it gives these mittens the look of budding tree branches - hence the pattern name.

Worked in DK to Aran weight yarn, these mittens are a quick and satisfying knit. Separate instructions are provided for knitting cuff-up and tip-down.- LB Handknits

Yarn used: Albina tested this pattern using my Limited Edition Jacobs yarn held double, but really any of my limited edition 4ply yarns would work held double.

You can find out more information on LB Handknits Ravelry page.

Floating Blossom by Victoria Burgess

Floating Blossom is a top-down, crescent shape shawl. Its center panel twists, trellis-like, with a ribbed cable. The body of the shawl holds floating berry blooms with more sweet cables bordering the shawl’s edge- Victoria Burgess

You can find more information on Victoria’s Ravelry page.

Yarn used: BFL/ Masham DK Singles (200m/100g), although I am no longer stocking this, BFL/ Masham DK (240m/100g) would be a great substitute.
